Grooming and veterinary care are regular and necessary parts of every dog's life, yet unfortunately many dogs find these procedures scary and uncomfortable. This causes immense amounts of stress for both you and your dog, especially when the procedure needs to be done for your dog's well-being. We can help!

Our training program is designed to build trust between you and your dog and reduce your dog's stress levels and discomfort around the procedure. Using consent-based positive reinforcement techniques ("cooperative care"), we will help you systematically improve your dog's behavior. This training will start from scratch to re-establish trust in your training and grooming or medical routine, leading to more harmonious experiences around these situations.

Our Cooperative Care Coach is Kayleigh Sullivan. Kayleigh has experience teaching grooming and medical behaviors to large exotic animals, accomplishing animals opting into their blood draws, physical exams, and other husbandry procedures without any restraint.

This Grooming & Vet Care Training Program is collaborative and includes frequent check ins through video submissions and Zoom calls to make sure you are on track and making progress. All of the training is done entirely by you and in the comfort of your own home. The effort put into this training is worth the lifetime of lower-stress grooming, handling, and vet care!
